Clinical Characteristic Of Pulmonary Cryptococcosis With Clinical Analysis Of Four Patients

Objective To improve the recognition of clinical characteristic and therapy of pulmonary cryptococcosis. Methods Retrospective analysis of clinical data of 4 patients suffering from pulmonary cryptococcosis from 2002 to 2006 in the second affiliated hospital of Zhejiang University medical college. Results The clinical manifestation of pulmonary cryptococosis were diverse and nonspecific:some without symptom when some appeared severe pneumonia. Radiological manifestation was mainly single node or mass in left posterior lung.2 patients identified diagnosis by CT-guided percutaneous cutting needle biopsy(PCNB),l patient identifyied by bronchofibroscope transbronchal lung biopsy(TBLB),1 patient identified by transthoracoscope mass ectomy.2 patients were cured by fluconazole,a anti-fungi drug.1 patient was cured by transthoracoscope mass ectomy and fluconazole. 1 patient with cryptococcal meningitis was cured by amphotericin B and fluconazole. Conclusion To increase the cognition of pulmonary cryptococcosis is the key to decreasemisdiagnosis rate.The major way to identify diagnosis include:PCNB, TBLB and transthoracoscope biopsy to get lung tissure for pathological diagnosis.Therapeutical effect of surgery and anti-fungi drugs(amphotericin B and fluconazole) are definite.
