ObjectiveWe present a DSA method for the measurement of cerebral circulation time in the patients without any abnormal findings at angiography. To analysis and discuss the values of cerebral circulation time of the patients. Material and MethodsMeasurement of cerebral circulation time be performed by DSA in the 108 patients without any abnormal findings at angiography , who are selected according to some criteria on admission. The patients ranging in age form 6 to 68 years (29.5 ± 13. 7 years; mean ± SD ) consist of 71 males and 37 females .Cerebral circulation time was estimated by measuring the interval between the moment at which the contrast medium filled the cavernous sinus portion of the internal carotid artery and the moment at which the contrast medium faded in sigmoid sinus. According to features of angiogram in DSA, cerebral circulation time was divided into arterial phase, capillary phase, dortical vein phase and deep vein phase. The values were analyzed by statistic method. ResultsAngiographic cerebral circulation time (CCT) at left common carotid angiography is 7.04-10.40S (8.334 ±0.731S;mean ± SD) .angiographic cerebral circulation time (CCT) at right common carotid angiography is 6.890 -9.820S (8.364±0.711S;mean ±SD) .CCT at left internal carotid angiography is 7.040-9.680S (8.327±0.705 S ;mean ± SD) , which at right is 6.890-9.660S (8.373±0.712S;mean ±SD) .Cerebral circulation time was without significant side-to-side or sex-related differences Using Spearman's coefficient, no tight correlation between CCT and age. Visualization of common carotid artery (CCA) is delayed by almost 0.16-0.32S than internal carotid artery (ICA).
