Research On The Volatile Compounds, Anti-Allergic And Anti-Inflammatory Effect Of The German Chamomile

The German Chamomile is a kind of aromatic plants used as traditional medical plant in Europe and America. Since the German Chamomile was introduced to China, there is little report about the growth habit,seasonal change of essential oil,and the volatile compounds in air (VOCs) of German Chamomile. Although the extraction of German Chamomile is used as medicine by people,there is also little research on the medical effect.In order to develop this valuable plant,this research studied the growth habit , seasonal change of essential oil, VOCs , anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory effect of German Chamomile. The essential oil during different sowed-season and florescence was extracted by hydrodistillation, analyzed by GC/MS.
