Objective To assess quantitatively myocardial motion along long axis and age-related alterations in the normal fetuses using tissue Doppler imaging . To explore new method of evaluating the ventricular function of the fetuses, providing new tool for analyzing fetal myocardial motion in physiological or pathological status. Methods 62 fetuses in the second-trimester(group â… ), 60 fetuses in the third-trimester(group â…¡), 30 newborns (group â…¢)were enrolled in the study. Basal or apical 4 chamber of two-dimensional TDI were acquired. Longitudinal velocity of the LV and RV walls during systole (Sa), early diastole (Ea) and atrium contraction (Aa) and Ea/Aa were measured. Onset time and up-slope rate of Sa and Ea of the three segments of the LV lateral wall and RV free wall were measured too. Results â‘ PW-TDI manifested that the curves of three groups were fundamentally same. The curves were consist of three waves:systole (Sa), early diastole (Ea)and atrium contraction (Aa). â‘¡ Sa,Ea,Aa of the same ventricular wall in three groups significantly decreased from basal part to apical part(P<0.05).â‘¢In the level of P=0. 05, Sa of the basal part of the three ventricular walls in...
