| Objective: By imitating five post-core materials(Ni-Cr alloy Ti alloy Au alloy Glass fiber-reinforced Castable ceramic )and making ferrule or not of upper central incisor the dentin stress under static loading was analysed by 3D-FEM,and provide a theoretical guidance for clinical use. Methods: The model of a maxillary central incisor restored with post and PFM crown was built by three dimensional finite element method.Groups were assigned according to make ferrule or not and various materials of post and core. The force was loaded on all the models from the incisive margin and the stress distribution was analysed with different materials and making ferrule or not.Rusults:The dentin stress was very obvious difference according to make ferrule or not. The pattern of the stress distribution in the dentin was altered after post restoration .The stress of dentin was higher in metal post restoration, but for Ni-Cr alloy post, the stress in the interface of post and dentin and dentin at post apex increased significantly. The stress distribution did not significantly change in glass fiber-reinforced post restoration whose elastic modulus were similar to dentin. When the tooth was restored with post-core, stress distribution of dentin was related to the elastic modulus of materials. Conclusions: 1 The Finite Element Method is a simple and convenient way in oral biomechanical analysis .The materials of post core demonstrate great influence... |
