Objectives To clarify the susceptible genes associated with type 2 diabetes(T2DM) in Ningxia Yinchuan population. We detected three candidate genes polymorphims those have been confirmed the association with type 2 diabetes in other population. In order to ascertain the association of the three candidate genes with type 2 diabetes in Ningxia Yinchuan population and to investigate into the interactions between those candidate gene polymorphisms in Ningxia Yinchuan type 2 diabetes.The three candidate genes polymorphisms include the SNP43,SNP19 polymorphisms in calpain 10(CAPN10) gene, the Pro12Ala polymorphism in proxisome proliferator- activated receptor gamma2 (PPARγ2)gene.Methods The information of study subjects were collected according to the criterions, including height,weight,0h,2h blood glucose,Ins,C-P,etc. We studied 120 unrelated random subjects with type 2 diabetes(cases) and 132 non-diabetes (controls) those were selected from Ningxia Yinchuan population. The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and -the restriction fragment length polymorphism (-RFLP) analysis were used to tested the distribution of allele and genotype frequencies of the three gene polymorphisms in two groups of Ningxia Yinchuan population. To calculate the association between the gene polymorphisms and type 2 diabetes using population genetics methods in Ningxia Yinchuan population.Results The frequency of alleles of three genes reached the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium, this shows that the population studied were selected randomly;The significant difference in the frequency of the G43 alleles of the CAPN10 gene was observed between...
