Association Of CAPN-10 Gene Polymorphism And Peroxisome Proliferator-activated Receptor γ2 With Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

Objectives To clarify the susceptible genes associated with type 2 diabetes(T2DM) in Ningxia Yinchuan population. We detected three candidate genes polymorphims those have been confirmed the association with type 2 diabetes in other population. In order to ascertain the association of the three candidate genes with type 2 diabetes in Ningxia Yinchuan population and to investigate into the interactions between those candidate gene polymorphisms in Ningxia Yinchuan type 2 diabetes.The three candidate genes polymorphisms include the SNP43,SNP19 polymorphisms in calpain 10(CAPN10) gene, the Pro12Ala polymorphism in proxisome proliferator- activated receptor gamma2 (PPARγ2)gene.Methods The information of study subjects were collected according to the criterions, including height,weight,0h,2h blood glucose,Ins,C-P,etc. We studied 120 unrelated random subjects with type 2 diabetes(cases) and 132 non-diabetes (controls) those were selected from Ningxia Yinchuan population. The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and -the restriction fragment length polymorphism (-RFLP) analysis were used to tested the distribution of allele and genotype frequencies of the three gene polymorphisms in two groups of Ningxia Yinchuan population.
