| OBJECTIVE: to abserve the effect of pentoxifyllinel on antagonizing inhibition of respiration induced by acute organophosphorus poisoning,and to study the mechanisms for action of pentoxifyllinel on antagonizing the acute organophosphorus poisoning.METHODS:(1) the model of respiratory depression under acute organophosphoms poisoning in A,B,C (six rabbits in every group ) groups were formed by intravenous injection of dipterex-a compound of organophosphate in lethal dose.(2)Group A was used as a negative control.Group B was divided into three groups B1,B2,B3,after 5 minutes of injection of dipterex, pentoxifyllinel in doses of 15mg/kg,30mg/kg,60mg/kg were injected respectively.In group C,10mg/kg atropine was injected after 5 minutes of injection of dipterex .(3)The average peak amplitude and frequency of the phrenic nerve discharges, the average peak amplitude and frequency of the diaphragmatic muscle discharges , the average peak amplitude and frequency of respiratory movement,before and afrer treating with the drugs,were recorded and analyzed with a biological signal processor.(4)The survival of poisoning rabbit were observed and recorded in every group at 30,60,120 minutes after injection with diperex. RESULTS(1):In the rabbits of control group which were treated without any antidote, the average peak amplitude and frequency of the phrenic nerve discharges, the average peak amplitude and frequency of the diaphragmatic muscle discharges , the average peak amplitude and frequency of respiratory movement of rabbits after injection of dipterex showed the tendency that increase first then decrease as comparing with the data before injecting the dipterex. The effect of excitement is up to maximum at 5 minute after injection of dipterex.All rabbits died within 25 minutes after injecting dipterex.All data showed the significant difference(p <0.001 )as comparing with the data before injection of dipterex except...
