Separate Removable Partial Denture is a kind of special design Removable Partial Denture. The developed design not only inherits the merits of traditional Removable Partial Denture, but also protects the abutments effectively. It is mainly aimed at the patients who have I~ II° mobile abutments and/or suffer from a bad periodontal condition making the effect of restorations dissatisfied. Separate Removable Partial Denture is composed of double bases, which utilizes them to perform the functions of supporting, retention and stability of Traditional Removable Partial Denture separately. The lower base to which the artificial teeth are attached contacts with the alveolar ridges and oral mucosa intimately, acting the function of supporting. All kinds of clasps are designed on the upper base, which contact with each abutment directly for the function of retention and clasping and stabilize the denture.
