| Objective: To evaluate whether mandibular ramus have compensations of malocclusion according to Enlow's counterpart analysis.Material and Method: Cephalometric analysis in 120 skeletal class II (60 males and 60 females) and in 60 skeletal class III(30 males and 30females) compare with analysis in 60 normal occlusions with Enlow's counterpart analysis method. Among the skeletal class II,there are three groups: average growth pattern(30 males and 30 females), vertical growth pattern(15 males and 15 females) and horizontal growth pattern(15 males and 15 females). And all the skeletal classIII and normal occlusions are average growth pattern.Result:1. In skeletal class III, the angle of Xi-Cc-PM becomes smaller, the RP-MP angle increases and the length of R1-R2 becomes shorter compare with normal occlusion(p<0.05). In skeletal class III, the lengths of A'-Ptm' decrease and the lengths of J'-B' increase... |
