Armillariella tabescens ("Scop.ex Fr.) Sing(ATS), commonly called 'Liang Jun', having been grown in the luminous willow deadwood. Ferment and extract from ATS, either by chemical or by water-boiling methods, Liangjun polysaccharide (LJP) has been used in the treatment of some tumor-related diseases. However, little is known about the mechanism of this fungal polysaccharide on anti-tumor. In order to investigate and clarify the different anti-tumor activities and anti-tumor mechanisms of this polysaccharide, the animal model of mice bearing S180 rumor was created and some experimental technics such as modern biology, pharmacology, cell biology and immunology were used. Based on three levels of the unit, cell and cell factor, it was found that LJP is useful in the effect of anti-tumor by lucubrating the natural killer cell activity, phagocytic function, lymphocyte proliferation and translation ability and also the action of some cell factors such as TNF- α, INF- γ and IL-2.Our research clearly showed that NK antipersonnel activity of the model group mice was declined, compared with their control group, and the kill rate was 45.08%. However, NK antipersonnel activity was markedly improved by intraperitoneal injection of Liangjun...
