Denture adhesives (DA) are dental drugs available over the counter. It can produce adherence between the denture and its supporting tissue and can increase the retention and stabilization of the denture. Medicine also can be added into it, which can make it be the carrier of the medicine for the oral mucosa. The placement of removable partial denture or full denture usually leads to caries, periodontitis and oral mucosa disease because of the influence of its components on the oral microorganism. Based on the reasons mentioned above, in this research, we added traditional Chinese medicine into it and try to research and develop a new denture adhesive named APACIV which can be antibiotic and increase the retention and stabilization of the denture. The MIC of APAC IV to SM, Pg and CA and the cytotoxicity of APACIV to HGF were tested in vitro. We also tested the retention of APACIV with INSTRON4302. Assess the result by SPSS11.5 software. The result shows as following: 1 The cytotoxicity grade of the APAC IV denture adhesive (the lowest panax notoginseng group) to the HGF is "0-1". The adhesive (the lowest panax notoginseng group) can stimulate HGF proliferation. 2. APACIV denture...
