ObjectiveTo investigate the expression of bone formation protein - 2 ( BMP - 2) in the microscrews anchorage implant - bone interface in order to study the stability of the microscrews anchorage implant under the different loads, observe the integration of the implant - bone interface and the bone remodeling after implantation, supply the experimental data for the clinical application.MethodsThree male adult dogs were used in this study. Twenty - four titanium alloy microscrew implants with dimensions of 1. 6 mm ( diameter)×8 mm (length) were implanted into the dogs'mandibular bones. Test implants were randomly divided into four groups with different loads: 1g, 200g, 400g, 600g. After 8 weeks the dogs were sacrificed for histological study . The specimen were fixed, dycalciumed, and then HE and BMP - 2 immunohistologic stained, at last they were assessed with image analysis system to analyze the average grey value. A statistical evaluation of the data was achieved using the software package SPSS10.0, T test was made for comparison between non - pressure side and pressure side.ResultsHE staining showed that the osteoblasts and osteoid were presented in the...
