Determination And Studies On The Harmful Substance In Traditional Chinese Medicine

The harmful substance in Chinese medicinal material mainly includes pesticide, heavy metal, microorganism, etc. The existence of these harmful substance not only lower the quality of Chinese medicinal material, but also reduce its competitive power in international market and its export trade.This research determined the residue of pesticide and heavy metal in Rhizoma Dioscoreae,Herba Schizonepetae,Rhizoma Curcumae,Fructus Mume,Semen Pharbitidis,Semen Euphorbiae,Herba Ephedrae,Semen Trichosanthis,Herba Cirsii Japonici,Radix Cirsii Japonici,Radix Sanguisorbae,Herba Cirsii,Pollen Typhae, Fructus Ligustri Lucidi,Rhizoma Atractylodis by means of GC, AFS, AAS, ICP,etc. The main results include:1,Dermining the content of As,Hg,Pb,Cd,Cu in Rhizoma Dioscoreae, Herba Schizonepetae,Rhizoma Curcumae,Fructus Mume by AFS,AAS and ICP. The results show that the content of As,Hg,Pb,Cd,Cuin such 19 herba is about 80～ 1300ng/g,50～170ng/g,1000～6000ng/g,20～290ng/g,25～60μg/g. The content of Pb in some herba is beyond the standard, the content of Cu in all herba is beyond the standard, but after carbonized,it obvously decreased. For example, content of Pb in Schizonepea tenuifolia Brig. is 3935ng/g and in schizonepea Carbonisatus is 3935ng/g. It can be concluded that content of Pb in herba would decrease after being carbonized.2,On the basis of the experiment data of metal and As in these herba, we classified and tentatively proposed the standard of metal and As which would be practicle,in accord with International standard and suitable for the qulity of Chinese herba.3,GC was applied to determine the residue of organchlorine pesticide in such herba.We found that there was some residue of organchlorine pesticide in Chines herba.So,determination of the residue of organchlorine pesticide was nessisary.
