Background Osteoporosis was considered as dysostosis disorder due to the damage of microstructure of bony tissues, the persistent decreasing of bony matrixes and mineral bones, thinness of sclerotin, the decrease of the number of trabecular bones, and the increasing of bony fragility and the risk of fracture. Fracture was the most harmful to Osteoporosis, which frequently resulted in the fracture vertebral compression and Hip, and barton fracture. The aim of prevention and cure of Osteoporsis was to maintain the bony mass and improve the bony quality, which could enhance the bone strength and surpass the bony threshold. Biomechanical experimental methods, one of whose main aims was to determine the bony quality, couldn't been superseded by the bone densitometry, the histomorphology of bony tissues, and so on. Up to now, tri-point bending test and compression test was frequently used as biomechanical empirical methods. Many studies showed that there was no significantly difference in tri-point bending test in the beginning time of rat Osteoporosis models. The influence of geometrical figure and preparing methods of specimens could result in the inaccuracy of experimental data in the compression test. Accordingly, some scholars introduced indentation test and lateral fall test into biomechanical experiments. In order to assess authenticity, rationality and simplicity of indentation test and comparative study the effects of some factors in experimental...
