The large quantities of organic, and often chlorinated, solvents used are, however, both expensive and environmentally unfriendly. Many studies have been conducted to overcome such problems and to provide alternate routes for obtaining taxol and its related analogues. In this thesis, a supercritical fluid extraction based separation process has been developed for this purpose .but the traditional quality evaluation to the TCM, depending on the quality or quantity of some or several chemical constituents, is dificult to evaluate availably the true good or bad of it, (especially in the complex prescription preparation).
