Lipoteichoic acid of Bifidobacterium have anti-aging effect, but its mechanism is not clear enough. Klotho is a new anti-aging gene, klotho mutant mice present aging in many aspect, while increasing the expression of klotho in mutant mice can ameliorate aging phenomena. The aim is to explore possible mechanism of anti-aging of LTA by detecting the expression of klotho.Male Kunming mice were divided into different groups at random. These mice were induced aging by subcutaneous injection of D-galactose on the back and LTA was simultaneously administered to them daily. After 8 weeks, mice were killed and these indexes were measured such as increasing of body weight, organ index, bone and serum index, the activity of SOD and the level of MDA in kidney, the level of MDA in liver, the expression of klotho in kidney by RT-PCR, Western blot and immunohistochemistry, the expression of pAkt by immunohistochemistry.There were significant differences in the kidney index, the thymus index, the brain index, the spleen index (P<0.01, P<0.01, P<0.05, P<0.05), the bone index between LTA group and aging model group; LTA of bifidobacterium can noticeably increase the activity of SOD(P<0.05),...
