Objective: To investigate expression of plk1 raf-1 and Ki-67 in gastric cancer andtheir relationships; analyse relationship between their expressions andclincoipathological parameters. Method: Immunohistochemical techniques are employed to detect expression ofplk1 raf-1 and Ki-67 in 80 cases of human gastric cancer and 15 cases ofnormal gastric tissues. Results: (1)The positive rates of plkk raf-1 and Ki-67 expressions in gastriccancer tissues were 82.5%(66/80), 81.25%(65/80) and 80%(64/80)respectively while the plkk raf-1 and Ki-67 expression in 15 normalgastric tissues all showed negative.(2) The expression of plkl in gastric cancer was significantly correlated with depth of tumor invasion, TNM stage, and lymph node metastasis (p< 0.05) but not with other parameters.(3) The expression of raf-1 in gastric cancer was significantly correlated with depth of tumor invasion, TNM stage, and lymph node metastasis (p< 0.05) but not with other parameters.(4) The expression of Ki-67 in gastric cancer was significantly correlated with histological differentiation, depth of tumor invasion, TNM stage, and lymph node metastasis (p < 0.01) but not with other parameters. (5)The relationships between plkl and raf-1, raf-1 and Ki-67, plk1 and Ki-67 expression were significant (p < 0.01) .Conclusions: The overexpressions of plk1 raf-1 and Ki-67 corelate to tumorgenesis and development of gastric cancer and could be regarded as important indicators for evaluating biological characteristics and prognosis of gastric cancer.
