Background (Objective) : The main manifestation of chronic rejection is transplant arteriosclerosis and fibrosis. The mechanisms of chronic rejection remain elucidated, and there are currently no specific therapies to prevent or interrupt the process. Now, the specific cytokine used to earlier diagnosis for chronic rejection becomes even more important. The vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF), a major angiogenesis factor, it is relative to physiologic and pathologic procedures and has the function of promoting neovascular intensively. Therefore, if we can use this peculiarity, it will make fine collateral circulation rapidly and improve ischemic cardiac muscles effectively. The platelet-derived growth factor(PDGF), a cytokine which root in many kinds of cells, is a potent mitogen for vascular smooth muscle cell, and it can promote fibrosis cells, smooth muscle cell, angio-endothelial cells proliferation and incent fibrosis cells, mononuclear cell, angio-endothelial cells chemotaxis, it may play an important role in the vascular smooth muscle cells proliferation. In this study, the recipients were pretreated with specific donor spleen cells (SPC) and cyclophosphamide(CP) coadministration, and then induced the specific immune tolerance to donor organs. With the increase of long term survival, the relationship between VEGF, PDGF and chronic allograft rejection will be investigated in order to provide new theoretical and practical basis for the earlier diagnosis and prevention of...
