The construction of three-dimensional finite element model of humam nasomaxillary complex[Objective] To develop a method to construct three-dimensional finite element model which may express biomechanic characters of normal nasomaxillary complex.[methods] SCT image reconstruction technique, digital image transfer , image transcription and 3-D FEM were used in combination with AutoCAD2004, unigraphic and MSC.Marc soft ware.[results] A 3-D FE model of nomal nasomaxillary complex is condstructed, Including 69366 elements and 34344 nodes.[conclusions]The method to develop a 3-D FE model in the nasomaxillary complex by use of SCT scanning , digital image transfer and transcription combination with 3-D FEM are feasible and effective, 3-D FE model is the base for biomechanical analysis in nasomaxillary complex.
