CagA Gene Clone And Expression Of The Helicobacter Pylorus

Background and objective: The Helicobacter pylori, the important pathogen of chronic gastritis and digestibility abscess, closely relate to the occurrence of gastric cancer and lymph tumor, which has relation to the gastric velum. Helicobacter pylori have two bacteria plant types: type-â…  and type- â…¡. The criteria of this division lays on that, the type-â…  should include both cytotoxin-associated protein gene A and Vacuolating cytotoxin-associated protein gene A; while, the type-â…¡ should include none of them. The bacteria plant type- â…  includes a special gene segment, which is about 40kb. This segment is called Cag Virulence Island, because it charges for the coding CagA virulence factors. From 1997 to 1998, the sequence of the whole gene group of the Hp bacteria plant 26695 and the bacteria plant J99 were detected, and therefore people could make a comparison between the gene tissue structures of two type-â…  bacteria plants, and know the main features of them. Type-â…  bacteria plant is assumed to be the signified pathogen of digestibility abscess and gastric tumor. So the research on the CagA gene becomes the hotspot of the Hp investigation. Meanwhile, the current treatment for Hp infection is based on antibiotics together with a proton pump inhibitor or antacid, which however has several disadvantages, such as adverse effects of antibiotics, emergence of antibiotic-resistance strains and high costs. Vaccination is a way to eradicate Hp infection, but no safe and effective vaccine has been developed.
