| Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a kind of autoimmunity desease and tends to cause diversity degree disability. In recent years, though some progress had been acquired in the field of RA research, many problems are still to be solved, such as the mechanisms of RA and the discovery of novel antiinflammatory drug with low side effect, etc. Natural plants and traditional Chinese medicine is the dominant field in the research and development of new drug in our country. Longteng Capsule is an traditional recipe and have good therapeutic effects on RA, but its mechanisms is unclear. In order to find better drug for RA treatment and to sdudy the mechanisms of Longteng Capsule, various inflammatory animal models were implied to research its antiinflammatory and immunoregulatory effects.METHODS1. Rats were divided randomly into 7 groups (n=10), namely normal control, inflammatory model, NS control, theraputic groups (4.5, 1.5, 0.5 g/kg) and positive control (indomethacin theraputic).2. In the acute inflammatory edema rats, the perimeter and weight of paws were measured to calculate the swelling rate and compare the inhibition ratio of every group.3. In the chronic granuloma induced by cotton ball expriments, the weight of granuloma was measured to value the therapeutic efficacy of theraputic groups.4. The content of Evans blue effused was detected with chromatometry to compare the capillary permeability in rats.4.In the hot plate experiment and writhing essay, the act of laping metapedes and frequency of writhing was observed to compare the alteration of pain threshold and the analgesic effect.5.In the Freund's adjuvant arthritis models:â‘ Aarthritis scrore were valued at 14th,15th,18th,20th,23th,26th,28th day;â‘¡At the 28th day of the trial, the gastric mucosa and membrane synovialis were observed morphologically by HE staining.
