Public sanitation safety is a hot and important issue nowadays which is widely much talked about not only by government but also by social people especially with respect to epidemic disease in China. All people focused on how to obtain the epidemic disease information easily, accurately and vividly in order that people can enhance the sensitive precaution. The scales of disease will massive decrease with all efforts. The article discusses the methodology of combination geography space information with the epidemic disease information to publish on Internet by WebGIS strong expression function of map and GIS capacity of space analysis. Three results are as follows:1. This article summarizes the GIS advantage in epidemic disease field including seven aspects such as videotex, specialist map, risk factor analysis, space analysis, epidemic disease controlling administration, epidemic situation precaution and public sanitation education.2. This paper describes the definition, features and system frame meanwhile this article analyzes the merit and demerit of WebGIS.3. The author designs a system of epidemic disease precaution and issuance using SuperMap IS and WebGIS combined with Internet program. The principle of design rests on technology flat, system frame, function modle and database.
