Objective: Coronary artery atherosclerosis heart disease (CAD) is a popular disease that threatens people's life and health. In the process of this disease, oxidized low-density lipoprotein (oxLDL) plays a crucial role. In the factors that influence oxLDL, paranoxonase(PON-1) becomes the focus of research. In this study, we analysed the serum level of oxLDL and PON-1 activity in patients with CAD to explore the relationship between the serum level of oxLDL and PON-1 activity, to explore the value of PON-1 activity to estimate the coronary artery lesions. Methods: The study enrolled 130 subjects who received coronary angiography or PCI in Cardiac Center of the First Hospital of Hebei Medical University from October 2004 to November 2005. The subjects were patients who were confirmed as coronary artery disease (CAD) by coronary angiography, including stable angina, old myocardial infarction, unstable angina and patients who were excluded from CAD by angiography and clinical data. Clinical baseline information were recorded in detail, including sex, age, height, weight, history of smoking, hypertension, diabetes and drug intake history. Venous blood samples were taken on the first day after...
