Objective: The myocardial infarction has become one of the threat to human health. In recent years, cell transplantation has emerged as a novel approach for generation of viable heart muscle cells. Experimental data show that transplantation of bone marrow stem cells or neonatal myocytes could regenerate functional myocardium and improve ventricular function in animals. The aim of present study is to explore the mechanism of MSC treatment in AMI rats and the safety, the feasibility of MSC transplantation. Here, we observe the differences on the structure and function of heart on marrow stem cell (MSC) transplantation in acute myocardial infarction (AMI) rat and normal rat. The amount of ICAM-1, VCAM-1 and E-selectin were measured and the endothelial function was also observed in MSC treatment rats. Methods: The MSC were obtained and labeled by 4, 6-diaidino-2-phenylindole (DAPI). Then the AMI rat model was made by obstructing the crown artery. After operation, rats were randomly divided into 3 groups. No medication was given to group-1 rats. Group-2 rats received MSC media. Group-3 rats received MSC transplantation. In addition, sham rats were used...
