The Clinical Study Of The Effect Of Reinforcing The Spleen And Kidney Together On The BMD Of OP

Objective This study was to evaluate the therapeutic effect of the recipe reinforcing the spleen and kidney together on primary osteoporosis by comparison of the methods which reinforcing the kidney, reinforcing the spleen and reinforcing the kidney and spleen together. And the conclusions of this study would guide the clinical application from the theoretical aspect.Methods We chose 90 paitents suffering from primary osteoporosis diagnosed by bone mineral density (BMD). They were divided into three groups radomly each contain 30 cases.The three groups were treated respectively with reinforcing spleen therapy, reinforcing kidney therapy and reinforcing spleen and kidney together.The time of treatment last for 6 months.Before and after the treatment we observed the changes of values of clinical symptoms, biochemical indexes of serum and urine,and the BMD of the femoral neck and lumbar vertebral(lateral position).Results After 6 month treatment, there is a significance difference for the total mark of patient's clinical symptom: the reinforcing spleen group > the reinforcing kidney group > reinforcing spleen and kidney group. After the treatment the blood calcium and phosphonium had no distinctive changes,while the ALP in serum rose significantly in the group reinforcing kidney and the group reiforcing spleen and kidney together,and there was no significant difference between this two groups.The calcium and Ca/Cr in urine decreased significantly.As for the BMD,except the group reinforcing spleen,the BMD of the other two groups had distinctive rise.Conclusions All three treatments could relieve the clinical symptoms of primaryosteoporosis,but the therapeutic effect of the group reinforcing spleen and kidney together was the most optimistic.The treatment to reinforce spleen and kidney together could decrease the calcium and Ca/Cr in urine so that relieve the condition of negtive calcium balance,and it could elevate the BMD in femural neck and lumbar vertebra(lateral position),but the BMD didn' t reach the nomal level in our study.
