Objective: To study the expression of ALK, Caspase-3 and Bcl-2 in anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL) and to evaluate their significance on the clinicopathological features of ALCL.Methods: Formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissues from ALCL were examined immunohistochemically for the ALK, Caspase-3 and Bcl-2 proteins. The relationships among the expression of ALK, Caspase-3 and Bcl-2, as well as the relationship between the expression of them and clinicopathological features were analyzed.Results:①The positive expression of ALK in 42 ALCL was 42.9%(18/42). 22.2% of ALK positive group cases(4/18)showed positive expression with cytoplasmic staining, while 77.8%(14/18)with cytoplastic and nuclear staining.②The positive expression of Bcl-2 in ALK positive group and ALK negative group were 77.8%,33.3%. The difference between the expression of ALK positive group and ALK negative group was statistically significant (P<0.05).③The positive expression of Caspase-3 in ALK positive group and ALK negative group were 22.2%,70.8%. The difference between the expression of ALK positive group and ALK negative group was statistically significant (P<0.05).④The negative relationship between the expression of Bcl-2 and Caspase-3 could be found with statistical significance in ALK positive group (r=-0.683 P=0.019).⑤The negative relationship between the expression of Bcl-2 and Caspase-3 could be found with statistical significance in ALK negative group (r=-0.519 P=0.021).⑥In ALK postive group, there was no statistically significant evidence...
