Clinical Investigation Of Zoledronic Combination Chemotherapy For The Treatment Of 38 Breast Cancer Patients With Bone Metastases

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of Zoledronic in combination with chemotherapy in treatment of pain, movement dysfunction and impairment of Zoledronic mineral density in bone metastases of breast cancer. M ethods: T hirty-eight with bone metastasis of breast cancer with Zoledronic Combination Chemotherapy group and thirty-two bone metastasis of breast cancer with Chemotherapy alone group(abridged version: Combination group and simple group) during treating bone metastasis of breast cancer. Combination group with Zoledronic 4mg in 500ml of 5%normal saline was given by iv infusion. The treatment was repeated after four weeks and more three successive doses were given. Results: Combination group 38cases, simple group 32cases, the efficacy for relief of pain : Combination group with a total effective rate of 81.6%, simple group with a total effective rate of 43.8%.the ability improved about movement function: Combination group with a total effective rate of 83.6%, simple group with a total effective rate of 65.6%, for improvement of bone mineral density: Combination group with a total effective rate of 26.3%, simple group with a total effective rate of 9.3%, There was difference in ×~2test. Conclusion: Zoledronic Combination Chemotherapy can improve therapeutic efficacy and bone mineral density, its neigtive reaction can be torlated in the same time .
