Quisqualic indica L is the light poisonous plant of Combretaceae. It originates from topical India, Southeast Asia and Fujian, Taiwan, Sichuan of China. Its fruit, known as Fructus Quisqulis has been used as a traditional Chinese medicine for anthelmintic and digestive disorder. The root and leaf of Quisqualic indica L are medicine for fever, headache, antibacterial and antitumor. In order to found out the factor of antitumor from Quisqualic indica L, we analyzed the chemical constituents of Quisqualic indica L, and tested though the assay of MTT on the EVC-304 cells. We got the chemical constituents was following results after carrying on the carefully experiments.1. Pre-experiment on Chemical Composition of Fructus Quisqualis The chemical constitutes were preliminary tested though systematic and special pre-experiment. The results indicate that it contains polysaccharides, glycosides, amino acid, tannins, alkaloids, cardiacglycoside, lipin, flavonoids, steroids, terpenoids, volatile oils and anthraquinones.2. The analyse of chemical constituents on fractions The result of analysis of chemical constituents on fractions was conducted with chromatograph on silica gel column and Sephadex LH-20. Five compounds were yielded from the fraction of petroleum ether. Their structures were identified by chemical evidence and spectral analysis as glyceryl monosterate, glyceryl monopalmitate, clerosterol, 1-linoloyl-3-palmitoylglycerol and stigmasterol; three compounds were yielded from the fraction of EtOAc, which were identified as methylursolate, betulinic acid, ethyl gallate; four compounds were yielded from the fraction of nBuOH, which were identified as gallic acid, butanedioic acid, benzoic acid and sucrose. And the Compounds of stigmasterol, ethyl gallate and butanedioic acid were obtained from this plant first time among these componds.3. The test of antiangiogenic potential of part compounds from Fructus Quisqualis L The inhibitory effect on EVC-304 cells proliferation of part compounds from Fructus Quisqualis L was tested though MTT assay. The results indicated that methylursolate and betulinic acid could inhibit the proliferation of EVC-304 cells. And the inhibitory effect of methylursolate and betulinic acid showed time and dose dependence relationship. The half inhibition radio of methylursolate on EVC-304 cells was 273.1μg/ mL, 207.5μg/mL,...
