This paper reports the research about the isolation, purification and their antithrombotic activities of polypeptides from human placenta.Four products, B1-3 ,B2-2,B3-1,B4-2, were obtained from human placenta by the technologies of homogenization, repeated freezing-solving extraction, ultrafiltration, anion-exchange chromatography and Sephadex G-25 gel chromatography. The purity of the four products is over 95% identified by RP-HPLC. The single band was given both B3-1 and B4-2 by SDS-PAGE and IEF with amolecular weight of 13774.7±350, 7468.4±500 and isoelectric point of 5.9 + 0.5, 4.8 + 0.5 respectively . The UV absorption spectrum of the four purified products were also identified. B2-2 and B3-1 show positive reaction in phenol-vitriol test. The primary pharmacological experiments indicated that the extracts of low relative molecular masses from human placenta have marked anticoagulant effect in vivo but little effect in vitro.
