Objective : To investigate the effects of alcohol on PERG,FERG,PVEP of the drivers in Chongqing and analyze the injury mechanisms of alcohol on the visual function, in order to provide scientific evidences for traffic safety and preventing traffic accidents.Methods: A total of 30 healthy adult drivers in chongqing (23 males and 7 females, 20-50 years, mean 34±8.3years ) were observed. All of them have no allergy to alcohol, no dependency of alcohol, no ophthalmocace and no severe disease. First, we detected the characteristics of PERG,FERG and PVEP of the drivers in 60 minutes before drink with a self-comparison study, and recorded the visual electrophysiological datum. Then we asked the drivers to drink according to their capacity for liquor under the custom of Chinese diet within 10 minutes. After 30 minutes, we collected 2ml venous blood, and sealed the blood with 5ml tube, reserved at 0℃,tested BAC in 24 hours by headspace gas chromatography.
