objective To analyze the causes of reoperation after cholangioenterostomy for benign biliary disease, investigate the indications of cholangioenterostomy,summary the experiences of surgical therapy.Methods The clinical data of 24 cases were analyzed retrosepectively, who had experienced cholangioenterostomy for benign biliary disease in the last 13years (from April 1992 to March 2005).Including 5 cases of congenital biliary duct cyst,1 case of cicatricial stenosis of choledochous inferior segment,18 cases of hepatolithus. Combine the information learned by history of the first operation,including the reasons,the modus operandi and the deficiencies in the procedure, with the findings in the reoperation to have a clinical analysis.Results In the first cholangioenterostomy,of 5 cases of congenital biliary duct cyst,3 were treated by cystoenterostomy after partial resection of the cyst,1 was treated by gallbladder duodenostomy and 1 was treated by right hepatico-jejunostomy.the case of cicatricial stenosis of choledochous inferior segment was treated by Roux-en-y choledochojejunostomy after the exploration of choledochus.Of 18cases of hepatolithus,1 case was treated by choledochoduodenostomy,2 cases was treated by cholecystojejunostomy, 2 cases was treated by jejunal interposition choledochoduodenostomy, 2 cases was treated by hypo blind loop cholangioenterostomy, 1 case was treated by left hepatico-jejunostomy combined with choledochojejunostomy,10 cases was treated by Roux-en-y choledochojejunostomy, retained calculus is definite in 5 cases during the operation.13 cases who had never undergo any operation on biliary tract were treated by cholangioenterostomy.Repeating right hypochondrial region,pyrexy, jaundice are the main reasons to receive medical treatment again.In the reoperation, 22 cases had intrahepatic calculus , complicating biliary ascariasis in 1 case, huge gallstoneupon upon the chole-intestinal stoma in 1 cases(10cmx8cmx5cm) and huge gallstone in roux loop in 1 case...
