| Objective: To investigate expression of Id1 and Id3 in primary gastric carcinomas,to analyze the relation between expression of Id1 and Id3 and the degree of gastric cancer's differentiation,and Ki-67labeling index(LI),as well as invasion and metastasis,and to explore their prognostic influence on patients ,desiring to provide molecular marker for prognosis in early-stage gastric cancer . Method: The expression and localization of Id1,Id3 and Ki-67 were detected with EnVision immunohistochemical method in 112 primary gastric cancer,the correlation of Id1 and Id3's expression with Ki-67 LI and clincopathologic parameter of gastric cancer was analyzed by chi square test,and 112 follow up data was used to analyze the influence of Ids on survival figures by Logrank test.Result:1.Expressin of Id1 and Id3 is inhomogeneous in primary gastric cancer,the immunohistochemical staining of them is localized in the cytoplasm of tumor cell,and all of cancer cells were expressed them.2.There is association between expression of Id1 and differentiation of tubular adenocarcinoma ,being apt to highly expression of Id1 in the poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma and low expression of it in the well- or moderately differentiated lesions.3 . There is a statistical difference between gastric cancers from different tissue-genesis ,id est, expression of Id3 in the tubular adenocarcinoma is significantly higher than its in the mucinous adenocarcinoma.4.Expression of Id1 in the gastric cancers being invaded lamina or submucosa is lower than the one being invaded to muscularis propria,but the difference between them does not reach statistical significance.5.No significant correlation was found between the expression of Id1 and Id3 and gastric cancer cell's proliferation,and lymphoid nodes metastasis,and the prognosis of patient.
