| PurposeTo reconstruct the panorama of the three bony semicircular canals with multi-slice CT isotropic scanning by using double-oblique multi-planar reformation(MPR) .To measure the internal diameter,height,span of the three bony semicircular canals respectively and the angle between bony semicircular canals. Materials and methodsCollect 105 cases(52 men, 53 women),210 ears. Age range 9 months to 71 years. Classify the cases into four groups by age:infant group,adolescent group,adult group,old age group.Examining the temporal bone with multi-slice CT isotropic scanning and postprocessing the souce images by using double oblique MPR in multi-slice CT. Measure the internal diameter,the maximum height,the maximum span and the angle between every two bony semicircular canals.Analyzing the measurements we use SPSS(Statistics Package for Social Science) 12.0 for windows.T-test is applied in between sex within groups,between two sides and between the different bony semicircular canals.Between groups we use one-way ANOVA.
