Schistosomiasis japonicum was one kind of parasitic zoonosis which was popular along Yangtze River Valley and 12 southern provinces. Recently, the population of patients suffered with Schistosomiasis increased greatly, so the improvement of Schistosomiasis' diagnostic methods were still of importance. As the intensity of infection decreased, the etiological detection method was not so sensitive. With the development of molecular-biology and immunology, some established immune methods could be suitably applied in the epidemic areas, and evaluate curative effects. NP30 antigen-sandwiched ELISA method generated by Guan Xiaohong was confirmed to detect shot-life antibodies in patients' sera. The kits based on this method have been used in many Schistosomiasis epidemic spots, and all the results showed this method was simple and convenient and could be used to evaluate curative effects. However, when applied in great mountain epidemic areas of Yunnan Province, the indirect NP30 ELISA diagnostic method was more effective than NP30 antigen-sandwiched ELISA.
