Objective: To observe the effect of aerosolized ketamine inhalation on nitric oxide production and activity of nitric oxide synthase in the lung tissue in asthma model rats.Methods: Forty SD rats were randomly assigned to five groups : control group (group N) , asthma model group (group A), two pretreatment groups of different concentration of ketamine (group K1 , K2 ) and dexamethasone group(group D) with eight rats each.The rats in group A were sensitized by injection of ovalbumin (OA) together with aluminum hydroxide and Bordetella pertussis as adjuvants , two weeks later followed by aerosolized OA(1%) challenge;The rats in groups K1...
