With the development of Chinses traditional medicine modernization ChongQing Herbs Planting Researching Institute had the GAP researching to Chuan-Cortex Moutan.This text researched on the original botanical character and pharmic property of Chuan-Cortex Moutan and provided the differentiating method of true or fake Chuan-Cortex Moutan. We mainly measured the paeonol content of Chuan-Cortex Moutan samples produced in it's GAP procucing base of Dianjian town. By modern chromatogrphic analysing method we setted up HPLC chromatographic fingerprints of Chuan-Cortex moutan.And setted up quality standard evaluating method of Chuan-Cortex Moutan medicinal materials by analyzing ingridient peaks data of the Chuan-Cortex Moutan samples we gotted the quality changing law during its' growing progress. In the meantime, by analyzing the detecting data of ingrideints in the herbs,we inquiried into the quality changing law during it's growing progress. So we can provide the reliabLe theoretical proof to guide Chinses traditional medicine producing.The researching result showed that the original pLant of Chuan-Cortex Moutan medicine materials has obvious differentiation with appreciate peony on the botanical characteristic. The medical Paenonia suffruticosa Andr. all have red or white flower which is single petal. The microstructure and exclusive chemical reaction of the true Chuan-Cortex Moutan has obvious difference with the fake one's.
