Titanium has excellent biocompability, good physical and mechanical characteristics, It's chemical characteristic is active and is easily oxidized in room temparature, thus a layer of stable and compact oxidide film(passivation film) is formed on its surface so that titanium shows excellent corrosion resistance. Because titanium has so many advantages, it has been used widely in dentistry and stomatology It can be made into crowns, fixed bridges, dental implants, framework and base plates of RPD. But the oxide film on the surface of titanium is easily abraded or worn, by the abrasive force, shearing force, stess, etc.Fluoride ions can also destroy the film in acidic environment, thus reduce the corrosion resistance of titanium and result in the alteration of the surface morphology and structure of titanium.Fluoride-containing dentifrice has been used widely in everyday life because of its excellent carries-preventive properties, it usually contains NaF or Na2PO3F, and pH is below neutral. With the coordinated interacton of the abrasive particles in dentifrice, can it abrade or corrode dental restorations made from titanium and change their luster and color so as to influence their appearance and long-term use. The experiment studies the effects of artifical...
