Analysis Of The Coronary Features And Risk Factors In Young Male Patients With Coronary Artery Disease

Objective:To elucidate the coronary features and risk factors in young male patients with coronary artery disease(CAD).Methods:In 1st Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University, selected 278 male patients who had suffered from CAD first time from Jan 2004 to Dec 2005.All cases had undergone coronary angiogrophy(CAG), and with entire clinical data. They were divided into two groups: The younger group(n=132,≤55yrs) , The older group(n=146, >55yrs) . Comparing their risk factors , numbers of branch of coronary lesions and clinical features.The risk factors include: total blood cholesterol (CHOL)﹑the level of triglyceride(TG)﹑low density lipoprotein(LDL-c)﹑high density lipoprotein(HDL-c)﹑ smoking﹑ hypertension﹑ diabetes mellitus﹑family history of cardiovascular disease.Results:(1) The younger group had higher rate of smoking and family history of cardiovascular disease(74.2℅ vs 40.4℅,p<0.01; 30.3℅ vs 13.0℅,p<0.05);But had lower rate of hypertension﹑diabetes mellitus compared with the older group(29.5℅ vs 41.1℅,p<0.05;51.5℅ vs 72.0℅,p<0.05).(2) The former group had higher levels of triglyceride(TG) (2.40±1.66 vs 1.82±1.19, p<0.05);There were not difference in CHOL﹑ LDL-c﹑HDL-c between the two groups.(3) The younger patients had the higher proportion of single coronary artery lesions than the older patients(53.0℅ vs 32.9℅, p<0.05); The former had lower percentage of the multiple branch lesions(14.4℅ vs 28.8℅, p<0.05); There were not difference in the proportion of two branch lesions between the two groups.(4) The younger group had higher morbidity of acute myocardial infarction(59.1℅ vs 30.8℅, p<0.05); lower morbidity of...
