ObjectiveTo observe the effects of activin A (ACT-A) and follistain (FS) on proliferating and secreting extracelluar matrix of cultured rat renal interstitial fibroblasts. MethodsRenal interstitial fibroblasts were isolated and cultured from kidneys of male SD rats. The cultured fibroblasts were identified with cell shape, immunocytochemistry and trans-electron microscope. Cells were divided into following groups.1. A group: cells treated with ACT-A in different concentration(1) 0 ng/ml ACT-A(2) 0.3 ng/ml ACT-A(3) 3 ng/ml ACT-A(4) 30 ng/ml ACT-A(5) 100 ng/ml ACT-A2. F group: cells treated with FS in different concentration(1) 0 ng/ml FS(2) 0.3ng/ml FS(3) 3 ng/ml FS(4) 30 ng/ml FS(5) 100 ng/ml FS3. A+F group: cells treated with 30ng/ml ACT-A and FS in different concentration(1) 30 ng/ml ACT-A with 0 ng/ml FS(2) 30ng/ml ACT-A with 0.3 ng/ml FS(3) 30 ng/ml ACT-A with 3 ng/ml FS(4) 30 ng/ml ACT-A with 30 ng/ml FS(5) 30 ng/ml ACT-A with 100 ng/ml FS...
