Preliminary Studies On The Pharmaceutical Value And Effect Componets Of Folium Forsythia

Folium Forsythia is used as healthcare tea in Shaanxi ,Shanxi, Henan and Hebei, previous research about Folium Forsythia and Fructus Forsythiae shows that they are quiet similar in the chemical components, in the other hand, some effective componets such as Phillyrin, Forsythiaside and Rutin are more abundant in Folium Forsythia than that in the Fructus Forsythiae, a very common Chinese traditional medicine. Previous research also shows that the extraction of Folium Forsythia has strong anti-oxidation and anti-obesity effect, Forsythiaside has fine effect on anti-virus and anti-oxidation, Phillyrin has good effects in anti-oxidation, anti-obesity and anti- microbiotic. In this experiment, we lay stress upon the suitable gathering time of Folium Forsythia, systemic screening of effect partition with anti-oxidative effect of Folium Forsythia and Fructus Forsythiae, acute toxicity of Phillyrin anti-oxidative and the protective effects on hepatic injury of Phillyrin.We use the contents of three effective compounds Phillyrin , Forsythiaside and Rutin as the quality evaluation index of Folium Forsythia, The result shows: Content of Phillyrin arrived its maximum yield at May; Content of the Forsythiaside and Rutin arrived its maximum yield at June, The contents decreased follow with the growing times, and increased a little till to October, so the suitable gathering periods for Folium Forsythia is about May and June.Studies on the quick separate and rarefy process of Phillyrin from Folium Forsythia shows , extracting with ethanol could obtain high yield and purity, the yield could reach 2.5 % , and the puritycould reach 85 % , compared with the traditional extract method such as lead acetate method, magnesium oxide method, the ethanol extract method has advantage such as little cost and no pollution ,it is a extraction process that suitable for industrial production.
