Objective: Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), which is caused by the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV-1 or HIV-2) infection, is a serious threat to human lives and health as a major disease today. AIDS spreads rapidly and widely,in addition, the fatality of it is very high and nobody has been cured until now. It is an effective way to arrest the disease development and spread by using the examination of viral antigen to find the infected person at the early stage. Such measures will benefit in early therapy and strengthening the supervision for the infected person. The type of HIV early introducing into and prevailing in our country was HIV-1, and the researches about the preparation of monoclonal antibodies (McAb) against its representative antigen p24 had been reported. While the infection and spread of HIV-2 have been found in our country in recent years, but the preparation of McAb against its representative antigen gp36 was not reported yet. The aim of our present study was to prepare the hybridoma cell lines which can stably produce McAb against HIV-2 genetic engineering gp36 antigen and the McAbs,to identify the cell lines'biological characteristics as well as the...
