Objective: Oromaxillofacial sarcomas (OMFS) have obvious difference of histology, high invasion and recurrence, distant metastasis easily and poor prognosis. Immunochemistry method was used to detect the expression of MVD,bFGF and VEGF in OMFS.In order to understand the relation between the malignant degree of OMFS and MVD, bFGF,VEGF. Provide a experiment foundation for a potential new therapeutic method (anti-angiogenesis therapeutics) of OMFS.Materials and methods: 57 cases of OMFS samples were collected from the second affiliated hospital HeBei medical university from 1985.1 to 2005.12. Among them : fibrosarcom 8 case; liposarcoma 3 case; rhabdomy-Osarcoma 14 case; synovialsarcoma 7case;osteosarcoma 6case;lymphangiosarcoma 6case;chondrosarcoma10case;mesenchymosarcoma1case;myxos-arcoma 2 case. Highly,moderately/poorly differentiated of OMFS are 25case and 32 case. Immunochemistry streptavidin peroxidase method was used to detect the MVD and the bFGF, VEGF expression in OMFS. Statistical analysis was performed with SPSS 10.0 software, using Chi-square and T-test. Statistically significant level was considered as "alpha equals 0.05".
