Objective: This study is to investigate the inhibitory effect of JH-I and its ingredients against influenza(A1,A3) virus in vitro. To study the effect of JH-I and that of its ingredients on immunologica function of mice. To observe the protective effect of JH-I and its ingredient on oleic acid-induced acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS) in rats and provide a basis to clinical application. Methods: (1)CPE and MTT were applied to observe the protective function of JH-I and it's ingredient administered to cells in three different ways (method I : administration after infection, method II : administration before infection, method III: administration upon infection) to establish infectious model in vitro. (2) The production of hemolysin, the clearance of charcoal particl, and the delayed hypersensitivity induced by 2,4-chlorodinitrobenzene were observed after the treatment with JH-I and its ingredient.(3) Oleic acid was injected into the tail vein of rats, JH-I and its ingredients were administered to rats. After four days, their blood are to determine by the blood gas analyzer, to determine the superoxide dismutase(SOD), the malondialdehyde(MDA), nitic oxide(NO) content and the positive expression ratio of Tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α), the pathological changes of microstructure of lung. Results: (1)The result is showed that JH-I could enhance the surviving quantity of cells significantly infected by A1 and A3 virus in three methods. JH-I's inhibitory ratio is higher than the ingredients group and the ribavirin group. DY1-4 can also inhibit A1 and A3 virus in three methods except for DY1 and DY3 on A3 in method I . (2) The results showed that on the whole JH-I could significantly increase the level of hemolysin , enhance phagocytic power...
