Background: To evaluate the accuracy of the three methods: two-dimensional ultrasonic imaging method, three-dimensional ultrasonic imaging method and dewatering method- by which to detect the volume of thyroid space occupying lesion.Methods: To detect the volume of the region in thyroid with two-dimensional ultrasonic imaging, three-dimensional ultrasonic imaging and dewatering method. To contrast the outcome of the three methods to find whether there is significant differences between each other or not.Results: There was significant difference between two-dimensional ultrasonic imaging and three-dimensional ultrasonic imaging (p<0.05); and significant difference between two–dimensional ultrasonic imaging and dewatering methods (p<0.05).
