Objective: To understand if there are positive nestin cells in different part of human fetal brain and search for source of NSCs to treatment CNS injury.Methods: Three normal embryoes with gestational ages of 3 months due to termination of pregnancy were enrolled in this study .The cell from hippocampus, striatum, ependyma, thalamus opticus, olfactory bulb, cortex, brain stem, cerebellum, and spinal cord in human fetal brain were studied using HE staining and immunocytochemistry.Result: Different amounts of positive nestin cells were detected in the hippocampus, striatum, under ependyma, thalamus opticus, olfactory bulb, cortex of human fetal brain .Positive nestin cell was not detected in brain stem,cerebellum ,spinal cord.Conclusions: There are different amounts of positive nestin cells in the hippocampus,striatum,under ependyma,thalamus opticus,olfactory bulb,cortex of human fetal brain.
