Objective: By the way to test the level of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) in the serum of the healthy person, the patient of Hypertension with and without symptom of arrhythmia, we can probe into the difference of the VEGF between the healthy person and patient, from which we can find out the basis to prevent and cure the syndrome caused by Hypertension in the early time.Method: To choose 25 patients of Hypertension (Hypertension group: 15 males and 10 females at the age of 51-83, the average age is 72.8 ± 8.2), 24 patients of Hypertension accompanied by arrhythmia tested and proved by ynamic Electrocardiogrm (the group of Hypertension accompanied by arrhythmia: 16 males and 8 females at the age of 24-86, the average is 69.1 ±15.5). And also 30 healthy persons are choosed as contrast group(Contrast group: 16 males and 14 females at the age of 39-84, the average age is 68.9± 11.6). We have all the groups phlebotomized 2ml blood in the condition of empty stomach in the morning, and then test VEGF in the serum by the method of ELISA. After that, by the way of variance analysis using SPSS software package and Q test, we can compare the difference of VEGF in the serum between each two groups: the contrast group VS Hypertension group, the contrast group VS the group of Hypertension accompanied by arrhythmia, Hypertension group VS the group of Hypertension accompanied by arrhythmia.Result: The level of VEGF in the serum , from both the patient of Hypertension and the patient of Hypertension accompanied by arrhythmia, is distinctly higher than and different from the health person (p<0.01). While, there's no obviously difference between the former two groups (p>0.05) .Conclusion: The level of VEGF in the serum of the patient of Hypertension rises distinctly and much higher than the normal. There's no special difference on this levelbetween the patient of Hypertension and the patient of Hypertension accompanied by arrhythmia.
