ObjectiveTo evaluate the accuracy of the preoperative staging of gastric cancer by the special scanning method of multiple detector-row spiral CT(adphasic scanning after twice administer).Materials and Methods58 patients with gastric cancer undergoed the triphasic scanning of MSCT. Then these CT images were read to know the infiltrating extent of cancer, try out identifing the Borrmann grouping, judge the offending extent of the extrastomach cancers, know preoperative T - staging of the advanced gastric cancer. Two radiologists read all of CT images and made diagnosis. Findings at every phasic scanning of MSCT were composed and compared with the post - operative histopathological results. Then compare the accuracy of all groupings.Results58 patients include 8 p - T1 ,30 p - T2,15 p - T3 and 5 p - T4. The accuracy of T1 - T4 stages is 62. 5% ,68. 75% ,61. 54% and 100% Respectively. Accuracy of the preoperative staging of advanced gastric cancer by triphasic scanning of MSCT was 77. 59% . Accuracy of finding at the first phasic scanning + the second phasic scanning, the second phasic scanning + the third phasicscanning and only the third phasic scanning were 60. 34% ,75. 86% ,75. 86% respectively.ConclusionThe special scanning of MSCT(adphasic scanning after twice administer) is effective value for detection of gastric cancer and preoperative staging.
