Three Cases Of Psychiatric Manifestations Of Neurosyphilis

Along with the advent of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) came a worldwide resurgence of syphilis, especially neurosyphilis. Neurosyphilis may present with symptoms of virtually any psychiatric disorder. Here we present three cases of neurosyphilis diagnosed in the second affiliated hospital of zhejiang University of last year. All cases presented with overwhelming psychiatric manifestations . we recommend that psychiatrist have a high index of suspicion of neurosyphilis, which may have an exclusively psychiatric presentation.
