| Objective: To explore the surgical treatment of Basal cell carcinoma (BCC). Tovaluate the clinic outcome of local flap for reconstruction after resection of BCC.Methods: 46 patients underwent standard surgical excision were reviewed.Pathological diagnose used the cross-breadloaf sectioning. Defects following excisionwere generally reconstructed with local flaps. All patients were follow-up for 1-7years.Results: The rate of incomplete excision was 8.7% according to the pathology. Allflaps were alive with only one flap having hemengeoma. According to the clinic dataand the follow-up, the patient's outlook and function were good. 3 patients wererecurrent.Conclusion: Surgical treatment is an effective method for treating BCC. Standardsurgical excision is an ideal method with local flap to reconstruct the defectcosmetically. |
