Modeling of human hip joint is one of the most important tasks of human body modeling in sports biomechanics. There are many different viewpoints on either modeling of muscle or modeling of human joint. Primary purposes of this paper are to establish a muscular model and a human hip joint model. The previous human lower limbs' studies mostly focus on knee joint. The only studies on hip joint are based on physiological experimentation. It's necessary to eatablish a mechanics model of human hip joint. In this paper, firstly, the development of biomechanics modeling of human joints and muscles are introduced . Secondly, based on the previous studies, a new muscular model is established. The muscular model includes the characteristics of muscular force-length and muscular force-velocity. Thirdly, the muscles around the hip joint are simplified as muscular groups, and then, the muscular model is applied to muscular groups. Finally, three typical movements of human hip joint are simulated in ADAMS. According to the simulation results, the muscular model above is validated and the movements' laws are analyzed. The simulation results show that the model of human hip joint in this paper can exhibit some basic laws of human movements, the reinterpretation of the Hill equation is logically and scientifically and the muscular model accords with human anatomical characteristics.
